It’s the end of June, which means that it’s time to share this month’s obsessions! This is perhaps one of my favourite categories to post in because it lets me look back on my month and really think about those things that made it great. And it’s quite fun to make the collage!
On our “About” page, I stated that
“Little & Luxe is a website dedicated to beauty, wellness, health, self-care, and lifestyle, with a flair for culture and critical thought. It is a space for both mind and body; it is an avenue for sharing knowledge, wisdom, hope, and love.”
What makes Little & Luxe different – that is, the premise upon which I decided to create this website – is that Little & Luxe is dedicated to creating a space for little luxuries, everyday luxuries, in our lives.
I have to admit that I’ve recently become a green smoothie junkie. Ever since I blended my first green smoothie, I was hooked. Not only was I hooked, but I was actually surprised by just how much I would come to like them! Green smoothies are both delicious and nutritious and are most certainly worth all the fuss and attention they have received these past few years. So today, I thought I would spend a little time sharing some of the knowledge I’ve gained about green smoothies, along with my favourite green smoothie recipe.
Despite summer weather being perfect for walks, picnics, and days at the beach, it’s no secret that all that heat exposure is doing your skin few favours. While sunlight does of course contribute Vitamin D to our bodies (and Vitamin D does lovely things for us like lowering blood pressure, improving muscle function, and even curbing our appetites), it can also dehydrate the skin, causing your skin to feel super dry and perhaps even irritated. Needless to say, then, it’s very important to keep our skin (and our bodies!) both hydrated and moisturized.
But what’s the difference between the two? What do they do, and how exactly are they working for you?
A look into my life through my obsessions for the month of May. This post is slightly belated, but I still think it is worth sharing. What’s best is that each of these products carry their way over into making June an even better month!
